Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI, with a strong background in data analytics.

The role also requires proficiency in PHP, Vue.js, JavaScript, CSS, and familiarity with Microservices Architecture and MySQL databases. This position will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights through interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Power BI.
    • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to prepare data for reporting and analytics.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, including MySQL databases and APIs.
    • Optimize Power BI reports for performance, scalability, and user experience.
    • Implement data modeling, data warehousing, and advanced analytics within Power BI.
    • Develop custom visualizations using JavaScript, DAX, and other Power BI extensions.
    • Work with PHP and Vue.js to create and maintain dynamic, data-driven web applications.
    • Ensure data security and governance standards are met within Power BI solutions.
    • Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate Power BI with microservices architecture.
    • Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
    • Continuously research and stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Power BI and data analytics.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, particularly in the context of data storage and analytics.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration with Power BI.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello.

Desirable Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing reports, dashboards, and analytics in Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
  • Extensive experience in data analytics, data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in PHP and Vue.js, with the ability to integrate Power BI with web applications.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and their role in customizing and extending Power BI functionality.
  • Familiarity with Microservices architecture and its integration with BI tools.
  • Experience with MySQL databases, including query optimization and data management.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
