Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and maintain database systems and environments
– Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
– Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data integrity problems
– Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas
– Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies
– Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
– Perform database capacity planning and resource utilization analysis
– Develop and maintain documentation for database systems, including standard operating procedures
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
– Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of Linux operating system
– Proficiency in database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of server databases such as MySQL
– Experience with SQL programming and query optimization
– Familiarity with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for ETL processes
– Knowledge of shell scripting for automation tasks
– Experience with Java programming is a plus
– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
