An AI roadmap is a strategic plan that sets out the activities, timelines, and responsibilities for implementing and scaling AI in your organization. Without one, AI initiatives fragment into disconnected pilots that compete for the same resources and never reach production. The roadmap keeps initiatives aligned to business goals and makes prioritization a decision rather than an argument.

The strategy states the intent: what AI is for, and which business goals it serves. The roadmap is the sequenced execution plan underneath it: which use cases run first, what foundations have to exist before they can, who owns each piece, and when. We usually produce both, in that order.

The assessment and strategy phases typically run a few weeks, depending on how many business units and data sources are in scope. You get a prioritized use-case portfolio and a sequenced foundations plan at the end of it, not a research report.

By tracking three things: progress against adoption goals, business value actually delivered by live use cases, and the maturity of your foundational capabilities across strategy, value, organization, people, governance, engineering, and data.
