Streamline Fundraising: A Skill-Based eSports Platform That Lifted Donor Engagement by 50%

Overview

A new venture set out to make charitable giving feel like competitive play

Streamline Fundraising saw what most fundraising organizations were missing: an entire generation that would rather compete in an eSports tournament than attend a gala. The opportunity was to make giving feel like playing.

The problem was that no platform merged skill-based eSports with fundraising in a user-friendly way. Streamline engaged 247 Labs to build it from scratch — a platform where real-time competition and real-world causes drive each other, delivered across both mobile and web.

The Challenge

One platform had to satisfy gamers, donors, and organizers at once

Streamline wanted a first-of-its-kind platform that used skill-based eSports competitions to engage a younger, tech-savvy audience — a modern way for organizations to fundraise through interactive, competitive gaming.

Nothing like it existed. The platform had to serve three audiences simultaneously: gamers who expect polished, real-time competition; donors who need frictionless, trustworthy giving; and event organizers who need to launch campaigns without technical overhead. Getting any one of those wrong would break the model.

The Solution

247 Labs built a cross-platform arena where competition and giving reinforce each other

247 Labs designed and developed a custom platform that merges eSports tournaments with built-in fundraising tools, shipped as a React Native mobile app and a companion website. Participants compete in real-time matches while raising money for causes, with gamified donation incentives keeping both sides of the loop engaged.

Leaderboards, donation tracking, and automated communication with participants and donors run the experience end to end. A WordPress-backed CMS lets organizers set up competitions and monitor donations with minimal effort, improving the experience for gamers, donors, and organizers alike.

Areas of Impact

Interactive, competitive fundraising changed outcomes for every group on the platform

Turning fundraising into a game reshaped how each audience participated — and how much they gave.

  • Donor engagement. Interactive, competitive fundraising drove a 50% increase in donor engagement.
  • Fundraising results. Organizations running campaigns on the platform saw a 35% increase in fundraising success.
  • Audience growth. The gamified experience attracted a wider, younger audience and grew participation significantly.
  • Organizer efficiency. Event setup and donation tracking require minimal effort from campaign organizers.
