The Challenge
Making real nutrition learning survive a child's attention span
The client wanted to optimize kids’ nutrition knowledge and improve their diets using an interactive gaming platform. That meant designing for one of the toughest audiences there is: children who will abandon anything that feels like homework. The experience had to be genuinely fun first — with the learning woven into gameplay — while still covering real nutritional ground across food groups, drinks, and everyday eating decisions.
The Solution
A Unity-built game with AR, voice-over, and four learning modules
The 247 Labs team developed a mobile app on the Unity platform, spanning game development, AR implementation, and interactive UI elements. The experience is organized around four major learning modules: Veggies and Fruits, Proteins (animal and plant-based), Drinks, and Grains. Within them, kids engage through varied formats — games, quizzes, food logs, and scenario-based questions — with voice-over and AR features making the content immersive rather than instructional. Instead of being told what to eat, children discover it, one playful interaction at a time.
